I'm not a fan of organized religion and certainly not televangilists, but, like so many, I find Joel Osteen's sermons to be very uplifting, inspiring, and positive. I would say that Joel Osteen leans more toward an inspirational speaker than a preacher. I bought the CD set to listen to in the car. Joel opens every sermon with a funny story. I have to admit, the opening stories/jokes are pretty good. However, at the heart of every sermon is a positive message reminding people that each of us is a gift and we all have a reason for being in this life. No matter how dark your life becomes or seems to be, there is always a light waiting to help and guide you. I have always believed that none of us is ever truly alone; not really. Joel's sermons will remind you to connect with God every day and to believe in and visualize what you want your life to be. Our soul's remember why we are here. We just need to slow down and really listen. I highly recommend this CD set for anyone who is open to a positive message.
Used these CD' s during nursing school. If you are a believer then you know what I mean when I say that each teaching, each scripture Joel used, helped me get through the program. These are prayers for the day or spiritual advices for the day if I can say so. I twist it and used one for few days until I could feel it or understand it but each time regardless it ha been a great help to go through my days. I use it now before I go to work and it works just as much. Amen!
The first CD I bought from Joel was the "I Declare"...I liked it a lot, however he is reading from his book and there is not the same energy as when he speaks his in sermons...This CD - "The Good, Better and Blessed" collection are from his sermons from a few years ago and they spoke to me!! My favorite is "CD 3" in the collection which speaks about having a Vision and about having Dreams...I have found it very helpful to listen to it over and over again...It is FINALLY starting to sink in for me!! Joel "boosts you up and makes you believe and feel better"...It is VERY uplifting to listen to him!!

Another great offering from Pastor Joel. A collection of ten outstanding and relevant sermons that anyone can use to be a better person. I listen to this during my commute and it's a great way to start the day. My only complaint is I wish it were longer. I'm completely addicted to Pastor Joel's message and can't get enough! Anyone who wants to understand FAITH and develop a completely personal relationship with their Creator should check out Pastor Joel's message. Anyone who is looking for organized and structured RELIGION should look elsewhere.
