Started with a sample of the first book. Bought the first book immediately and all the available titles and the new ones as soon as they are available.This series is great, I read all types and many genre. I know a book is great when I become invested in the main characters because they develop. The flow is smooth. As with many of my favorites I like to get comfortable and re-read the books over and over. This 11th installment doesn't disappoint. More details come out and stuff you read in previous volumes connect.The author states that there are a few volumes left. Earlier he stated that the stories are in 6 book arcs so I am eagerly waiting for the 12th then what comes next.When this series end I'll be a little sad but will move on, I've already have other series waiting including some from the authors he recommended.One suggestion though. At the completion of each arc could omnibus editions be released covering each 6 volume arc?Now I have to go back and leave my reviews for the previous 10 volumes.
This is the best novel in this series in quite a long time. Sean is becoming aware of another threat—one posed by demons who plan to invade the earth. He also begins to learn that the timing of his charge to free the lycanthropes from slavery has been determined by the need to prepare an army to defeat the demons. This is credibly set forth and strengthens the series as it begins to appear that some of the stupider moves on the part of the wizards in this series have been made because they are being influenced by fell powers from a different world. Sean does do a couple of really dumb things in this book (like leave the sword that kills demons behind when he goes traveling thousands of miles from home) but overall Stryvant has succeeded in taking this series up a notch.
I am happy for Sean and his girls, revolted by the demons, disgusted by the magic society that let things happen because of greed. In this book you see that even under the influence of a dark force, humans do their all to keep what they think are theirs and prefer to destroy it than let someone have it. Be it items or other human beings. It was a bit philosophical.I can't wait to see the next book!
If you are looking at this book, you better have already read all the others. Since you have, You do not need to read reviews to decide if the next one is worth it. Hell, you already bought it didn't you. Who the hell am I writing this for?If it is for Jan, I will say that you do amazing work, and I am always looking forward to the next one. I am also looking forward to more Audio Books with Leland King.
It made my day when a person on facebook mentiond it was out. And i got it right away and have not for one moment regretted it.Only regret is when the book is all read and one has to wait for more of the tale.And such a tale, things clears up, and the true enemies start to show themselves a bit.A lovely end of the book, i got to say i was worried there for a horrible cliffhanger at the end.Did i miss the second fox girl there?hmm, may have to re read that part tomorrow, now of to bed for a few hours sleep before i got to wake up.These kind of books sure can keep you reading waay too long. lol
There isn't much to say here. Jan is clearly trying to pivot to keep the series going and while the imagination is there, the plot felt forced in quite a few ways. It was a bit of a emotional letdown in my opinion.I love the characters, and the new plot had potential, but the way the pivot was handled just left too many plot-threads or threw solid plots away to focus on the changes. I couldn't get into the story like I have in the past.
I got to say I'm getting into this book series Jan Stryvant has show us again that he is a talented and skilled Author The First has given Sean's a almost a Impossible mission to free all the lycan's from the magic uses but now dark forces a moveing against him ...... this book in great a must too read more important to own and add to your collection it's a 12/10 stars I can't wait to buy the next book ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆......
Sean and hang are in for a shock! The "First" has handed him a pretty little problem, Free all the lycans in Canada, by the end of the week! And then do the same for Mexico too! What's the hurry? Seems that the demons have struck and it was just a scouting party for th he main army! Lycans and Demons and wizards, oh my! Another in the great Valens Legacy series! If you're a fan of Michael-Scott Earle, you'll love these books too!
