Likes: none.Dislikes: very old, all of the examples are based on very old and difficult NMSs. This would not be an issue if so much of the book was not focused on HPOV and Mrtg. No effort has been made to even correct typos.I would not recommend this book at all.

Useful book for those of us doing SNMP programming

Not so simple is right. Book helps though.
this book takes it to a new level. I have never understood SNMP as well as I do now. Makes wireshark much simpler to use when looking at reading SNMP MIB's.
I pretty much hate SNMP. It's stems from not understanding it. This book has given me a grasp on some of the concepts, but has refered to a few things that I am supposed to already know. It's not for beginners.
Excellent service. The book arrived as described.
