About the Author
Although Rebecca was in church from an early age, she did not know Christ as Savior until she was twenty-five. Since then, she has enjoyed the privilege of sitting under the teaching of many beloved pastors and teachers. Rebecca has worked with all ages, but especially enjoys working with kindergartners. She believes they have the ability to understand much more than they are generally offered. During Rebecca's teaching career at a Christian school, she found the children eager to learn about their Heavenly Father when it was presented to them in simple terms and with the passion of a true believer. It is her hope that this book will help many young children gain a clear understanding of God's great love for them and His desire to take care of them. Although The History of God's World is a book for all ages, Rebecca recommends a passionate oral reading of one chapter at a time for younger children, followed by questions from both the reader and the child.

The History of God's World is a book for children, as well as adults. The author gives a beautifully written synopsis story of the main events in history from the Word of God. Then we are led to the most important story of all…HIS story of redemption through God Himself, the Lord Jesus Christ, who rescued us! The words “rescue†and “rescuer†are used throughout the book and help us recognize our need to be rescued from something….the penalty of our sin! Understanding and acknowledging our sin a vital part of bringing us to salvation through believing in the death burial and resurrection of Christ. I was pleased how the author chose and used this word because of how it brought clarity and understanding for the most important decision we can make in life.I found that the author’s foreward of the book to be an excellent catechism for children to memorize and recite. Also, the epilogue clearly brings understanding to the important truths taught throughout the book and would be ideal topics of discussion for children to share their hearts and ask questions.I would recommend this as a book read often to children through their growing up years, as well as a book for adults who have never had foundational teaching from God’s Word. It’s a blessing to have received this as a gift and something I will always have in my library of favorite books.
